FAKZ THE PARROT

Once upon a time, during the period when giants filled the earth, there lived a boy with a special friend who was difficult to understand. The boy name was Mahal and he lived with his grandfather sheps who was a dwarf because he was the favourite grandson of his grandfather. Their house was situated at the country side, where three famous giants also lived.

Mahal led a life far different from his contemporaries in his community because his grandfather was a strict disciplinarian.

Although Sheps tried to be friendly to his neighbors, some people disliked him and even called him names. One of the names they called him was Mr bald.

Sheps was a sheep rearer when he was a young man, but now he had passed that task to ten years old Mahal.

One day when Mahal was tending his grandfather's flock at a field located on top of a high hill far from his home, he heard a loud voice grumbling below the hill he was staying so he went to the cliff of the hill to see what the sound was all about. When Mahal went to the cliff of the hill where he was tending his flock that day, he looked down the hill and was surprised when he saw two giants fighting hard because of a trapped wild animal. One of the giants claimed that the meat was his while the other giant resist his claim. The fight got to another level when the trapped antelope freed itself and ran out of the reach of the giants. Mahal was moved to laugh at what he saw. His laughter echoed below the rough hill and the giants saw him watching them from a height far above them. At once, the giants stop fighting hard began chasing after Mahal. Mahal ran to his flock and signaled his flock to follow him. Some of his sheeps trampled over the narrow terrain while running after Mahal the herder.

Since the giants were swift mountain climbers, it did not take them a long time to get to the top of the hill. Mahal ran to his home as fast as his tiny legs could carry. Sheps was gardening when he saw Mahal panting like a dog outside the gate of his garden. Sheps quickly counted the sheeps which had gone out with Mahal only to discover that five sheeps got missing.

"Mahal! Where are my sheeps?" Sheps shouted.

"They are in the hands of two voracious giants!! " Mahal replied.

"Come and show me the scrupulous giants now". Sheps said to his grandson as he dragged him by the hand out of the compound. Mahal signaled the sheeps to stay behind while he and his grandfather went to the hill. On getting to the hill, they found nobody there. Sheps thought that Mahal was lying and he was about to punish Mahal when he the sound of sheeps bleating below the hill. When the duo went to the cliff of the hill in order to see where the sheep's sound was coming from, they saw the two giants dragging the five sheeps away from the mountains.

Immediately, Sheps picked up a big stick and began chasing after the giants along with Mahal.

To be continued on Sunday.
